Where to Share Content
So, how do you know where to share the content Soundboard curates for you?
At Soundboard, we believe there are two basic types of content sharing:
- One-to-one
- One-to-many
The first type, one-to-one, is all about thinking of individuals. It could be anybody: friends, customers, leads, etc. Once you have that person in mind, try to find content relevant to them.
Whether it be an article that connects to one of their hobbies or a video talking about a trending topic they care about, you should select content which is engaging to them, not content that attempts to sell them something.
One-to-one content should be shared in private messengers such as Facebook Messenger or LinkedIn direct messaging. This gives the recipient a sense that you were thinking of them, and not simply thinking of them as a dollar sign.
The second type is one-to-many, which, like it sounds, is broadcasting your content publically. Typically, the content needs to be a bit broader so as to appeal to a wider audience.
Even in one-to-many sharing, though, the goal is to find content that interests the group or groups you are targeting. This kind of content is not about your product or your pitch; it’s about sharing something that makes this group feel appreciated. Your pitch comes later.
Facebook groups, Twitter and LinkedIn are great places to post one-to-many content.
Soundboard has all of the content you need, available to be shared with a few clicks. All you have to do is determine where your content is going. The best way to do that is to think about your audience and your prospects.
